House Renovation Complete
and Ribbon Cutting Announced
Join Us for the Reveal on January 22
W
hile it still feels like summer here in Gainesville,
a twinge of fall is starting to reveal itself. The
mornings have started to get cooler, pumpkin-everything
is all around us, and Gator football is in full swing. Due
to Hurricane Matthew, we prepared for the worst, and
fortunately, Gainesville came away with barely a twig
on the ground. While we were lucky, our prayers go out
to our sisters who were in the midst of the storm's path.
During the summer, the House Corporation finally
initiated the back of the house renovation. The project is
progressing nicely, and I am proud to report the finishing
touches are near completion. I hope you all enjoy seeing
the new look. Because of University of Florida and FDOT
regulations, we were unable to pave the parking area.
If we want to keep the small but valuable parking, we
cannot make any changes. We are so pleased with the
work Oelrich Construction has done in regard to both
their professionalism and quality of work.
Please join us for the official renovation ribbon cutting
ceremony from 1-3 p.m on January 22. The ribbon cutting
will take place at 2 p.m. All alumnae are welcome to join
us for some refreshments as you tour the house and see all
of the improvements. Mark your calendars!
