Willdiscuss opening of the Sacramento river The following informa- tion is compiled from Red Bluff Police Department, Red Bluff Fire, Tehama County Sheriff's Depart- ment, Corning Police De- partment, Corning Fire, Cal Fire and California Highway Patrol logs. Arrests FrankieRolandoLopez- Castro:25,ofRedBluff was arrested Monday in the area of Douglass and South Jackson streets and booked into Tehama County Jail on two counts of possession of controlled substance, one count of possession of controlled substance paraphernalia: injection device, failure to appear: signed promise, false identification, two counts of possession of a controlled substance and possession of billy club or black jack. Bail was $1.367 million. Francisco Javier Lopez: 27, of Corning was arrested Monday in the 4500block of Lexi Lynn Lane in Corn- ing. He was booked into jail on the charges of battery of ex-spouse or date and criminal threats. Bail was $55,000. Trina Worth Kuykendall: 46, of Red Bluff was ar- rested Monday in the area of 99W at Smith Avenue and booked into jail on the charges of carrying loaded firearm in public, posses- sion of ammunition by felon, possession of fire- arm by felon and receiving stolen property. Fights Walbridge, cross of Third Street: Men were report- edly fighting about 2:30 p.m. Monday, but officers were unable to locate the involved parties. 99W, cross of Gyle Road: A man and woman were reportedly involved in a fight about noon Monday in Gerber. Missing Reeds Creek Road: A missing persons report was filed on a Red Bluff girl who has not been seen since Friday. She was listed at risk due to her not having been reported as a runaway previously and her age. She was last seen in the area of Reeds Creek Road, described as being 5'04", 130lbs and having blond hair that may have been dyed black. Scam Rio Vista Lane: A man re- ported a phone scam a er getting a call from Today's Credit Solutions during which he authorized a checking account transfer of $175. He was unable to contact the company a er sending the money. Stolen Main Street: A U-Haul rental truck was reported missing Sunday after it was not returned. The ve- hicle is a white 2016Ford cargo van with Arizona license plate AG85902. Thefts 1100block Delphinium Street: An Xbox was sto- len from a residence. Jefferson Street: A wheel barrow was stolen from a residence. Brearcliffe Drive: Checks were reported stolen Mon- day from a mailbox. Rancho Tehama Road: Wine was reportedly stolen from the Grewal Country Store. Traffic Walnut Street, cross of South Jackson Street: A non-injury collision involv- ing three vehicles blocked traffic about 4:30p.m. Monday. Trespassing Everett Freeman Way: Deputies were called to Rolling Hills Casino about 9:15p.m. Monday for a re- port of an excluded patron who had previously been given 19trespass warnings. James Daniel Rickard, 50, of Redding was arrested and booked into Tehama County Jail on the charges of obstructing a peace of- ficer and trespassing. Bail was $3,000. Suspicious Richfield: A man was driv- ing around the Richfield area wearing a flat billed hat and a bandana around his face about 5:30a.m. Monday. Vandalism Bobbee Lou Lane: Win- dows to a travel trailer were reportedly broken sometime Wednesday, Nov. 9. Monroe Street: A woman reportedly watched a man slash all four tires on her vehicle about 10p.m. Monday. The suspect was seen by a neighbor headed toward Cedar Street in a blue Dodge Durango. Cabernet Court: Windows were broken out of a vehi- cle reported Sunday. During an investigation, it was de- termined the windows were broken by a bowling ball while parked in the parking lot of the complex. Mineral: A gate to Sierra Pacific land in the area of A Line and 70A was dam- aged sometime within the last month. The loss was estimated at $300. Madison Street: Extra patrol was requested at the Red Bluff branch of the Te- hama County Library a er an Internet cord was cut and people were reportedly seen smoking drugs behind the building. Police Logs This recipe for Boeuf Bourguignon is adapted from Julia Child's "Master- ing the Art of French Cook- ing." Ingredients 3 lbs beef chuck roast, cut into large pieces 1 large yellow onion, peeled and finely chopped 2 carrots, peeled and finely chopped Several strips of bacon, sautéed 2 cloves mashed garlic 1 bottle good red wine, preferably burgundy 1 tablespoon tomato paste 1 bay leaf 1 pound button mush- rooms, quartered and sau- téed in butter 2 tablespoons butter 1/3 cup flour Directions 1. Dry the beef with a paper towel and toss with flour. It will not brown if wet. 2. Brown beef a few pieces at a time in the skillet you used to cook the bacon and remove to a warm plate. 3. Saute the vegetables in the butter in the skillet. 4. Add beef to a large Dutch oven with the wine and sautéed vegetables. 5. Season with salt and pepper. 6. Bring to a boil and cook over high heat for 3-5 minutes. 7. Add in the tomato paste, bay leaf and bacon. 8. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 3 hours. 9. Add in the sauteed mushrooms. 10. Serve hot or warm. Makes 4 to 6 servings. Preparation time: 10 min- utes. Cooking time: 3 hours. The event will con- sist of dinner, live and si- lent auctions, raffles and games. Auction items in- clude safari packages and other hunts and numer- ous firearms will be raf- fled off.
