PAGE 2 Alpha Beta Chapter W e are especially thankful for the generous contributions to the Alpha Beta House Corporation Board made by the following alumnae since our spring 2016 appeal. You make a difference in the future of Alpha Beta at Cornell University. Your gifts helped us complete house projects over the summer including water remediation and landscaping. Donations sent in this fall will go toward a living room redecoration project. To give online, please visit www.alphabetaddd. kintera.org/donate. Below is a list of our spring 2016 contributors. If an error has been made in recording your gift, we sincerely apologize. If corrections to your giving records are needed, please contact our campaign coordinator at (785) 843-1661. Thank you, again, for your loyal support. Her involvement in Alpha Beta inspired Judy to continue her service to Tri Delta not only in college, but for the rest of her life. As an alumna, Judy has been even more involved with Tri Delta, on both a local and national level, than she was as an undergraduate. One year after graduating from Cornell, Judy was asked to serve as an advisor for Alpha Beta, a position she held for eight years. In addition, Judy has served in offices with three alumnae groups, Ithaca, Fort Collins, and Tucson; held offices in three different House Corporations; and has been a national volunteer for Tri Delta for the past 25 to 30 years. She was recently elected as president of the Tri Delta National House Corporation and looks forward to the plans the board has set for the upcoming year. "This has been a new and exciting experience for me," she says. Judy's dedication to Alpha Beta and Tri Delta has not gone unrecognized, as she received her Golden Circle this year for her 50-year membership in the sorority. "Tri Delta helped me become a better woman and leader than I would've been able to accomplish on my own. I will be forever grateful for the opportunities, memories, and friendships I've been afforded all these years." Through gifts of time, talent and treasure, Judy pays it forward to Tri Delta. She encourages alumnae to remember the place that gave them so much and play an active role in Alpha Beta's continued success at Cornell. "It takes a strong alumnae support system to further the excellence of any chapter. Alpha Beta is comprised of strong women who are committed to success in recruitment, membership, academics, and all other aspects of the collegiate experience, and the Chapter needs an alumnae base that is indicative of this success. If you're able to give back to Alpha Beta, you'll find it to be just as satisfying as your undergraduate experience in the Chapter." Judy serves as the director of operations for Colorado State University Extension, where she handles human resources and fiscal operations. When she is not hard at work, Judy enjoys reading, skiing, camping, spending time with her four grandchildren, and having Sunday dinners with her family. Judy has two sons, Jason and Dustin, and lives with her partner of 20 years, Jim, in Fort Collins, Colorado. You can contact Judy at judith.barth@colostate.edu. THANK YOU, LOYAL ALUMNAE, FOR YOUR SUPPORT JUDY BARTH '66 THANKFUL (Continued from page 1) Alumnae News Jane Gregory Wilson '54 spent the summer visiting friends and family in North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. "I made a special trip to Arlington National Cemetery to visit my husband, Lynn, on his birthday. I especially enjoyed a tour of the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C." Jane left in October for a 48-day cruise from Boston to the Western Mediterranean, then back to Sun City Center, Fla. She had a nice lunch with Jean Lanigan Lenehan '54 in June. Karen Randolph Davis '79 lives in Perry, Ohio, and enjoys retirement. She reports, "After several years of not feeling well, I was finally diagnosed with a couple of autoimmune diseases: thyroiditis and ankylosing spondylitis, which involves chronic inflammation mainly in the spine but also in all of my ligaments and tendons. It has been quite a path, but I'm finally feeling better with a new hip and thumb joint surgery. Overall, I'm doing better!" She and her husband, Larry, have a dog, Cooper, who is the latest addition to the family. Karen looks to reconnect with Alpha Beta sisters and says, "To my fellow sisters, I'm on Facebook if you would like to join me in my adventures! Good health, prosperity, and safe travels. Here's to the past, present, and future!" E-mail: karen71684@yahoo.com Maria Isabel Guerrero '00 has been running her own law practice for nearly five years now in Albany, N.Y.
