A
lpha Omicron has enjoyed an exciting fall semester! We began the semester
with formal fall recruitment. We worked hard, enjoyed our sisterhood, and were
overjoyed to welcome home 55 Alphas on Bid Day, 18 of whom are legacies. Quota was
54 and it was terrific to again meet quota. Once formal recruitment ended we were able to
bring in additional Alphas through open recruitment. We initiated 68 amazing women on
Friday, October 21.
OSU Homecoming
The fall semester involved Homecoming preparations. We partnered with the men of
Kappa Alpha Order to celebrate the Dr. Seuss inspired theme "Oh, the places you will go".
Our women were required to pomp at least 10 hours each week to create the amazing house
decoration that was displayed at Walk Around.
Fall Events Raise over $6,000
Along with pomping, studying, and being involved on campus, our Chapter also hosted
a series of events to raise money for the Ronald McDonald House. Our fall philanthropic
events raised over $6,000 for our favorite charity and included a kickball tournament and
a chance to buy a Pi-Zookie, a hot cookie with ice cream. We also had a blast at our fall
date party and are looking forward to our annual Formal later this month.
We could not be successful without the support of our alumnae. Thank you so much for
all you do for us!
