NEWS Big Red Island Beta Theta Pi at Oklahoma State University / Fall 2016 Beta Theta Pi at Oklahoma State University Announces $4 Million Think Back. Think Big. Think Beta. Campaign More than $2.1 Million Committed—Now Is Your Chance to Make a Difference in Gamma Lambda's Future S ince 1923, Beta Theta Pi at Oklahoma State University has experienced great results in preparing young men for responsible, productive leadership positions in their personal and professional lives. We have taken pride in thoughtfully nurturing and preserving our distinctive founding principles that are so unique to our fraternity. It is our honor and privilege to introduce to you the next step in our commitment to excellence at Gamma Lambda. Today, we proudly announce our Think Back. Think Big. Think Beta. campaign. In the coming weeks, you will receive a brochure that outlines our vision for Beta Theta Pi at OSU. It is a bold plan and large undertaking, but one that is necessary for maintaining our role as leaders in the Greek community at OSU. Our beloved fraternity house has been the heart of our brotherhood since 1940 and has provided a home away from home for generations of men. In order for Beta Theta Pi to remain a premier fraternity at OSU, however, we must provide a safe, competitive, and modern facility to attract promising young men who will carry on our powerful legacy. Our active chapter continues to thrive. Gamma Lambda consistently recruits top-notch individuals who exemplify our fraternity's values and make a difference in our community. Our chapter has upheld its commitment to maintaining positive relations on campus and building upon our already vast alumni network. With an active membership so clearly dedicated to success, we have a responsibility to provide them with a chapter house indicative of the excellence our brotherhood has attained. Through a careful evaluation of the needs of the undergraduate chapter and the capability of our alumni, we have set a goal of raising $4 million for the construction of our new chapter house. To date, early commitments from dedicated Gamma Lambda alumni, friends, and undergraduates total $2,162,546. We are seeking additional support from our loyal alumni base to complete this project. We must challenge each other to support this campaign and reconnect with our fraternity and alma mater. Every contribution counts and every gift will benefit generations of men to come. Alumni who came before us provided the opportunity to join Beta Theta Pi, live together in the chapter house, and develop lifelong friendships that we cherish. Now is the time to join your brothers who have already made generous commitments and ensure that the same level of excellence continues for Gamma Lambda into the future. Yours in _kai_, Michael P.
