The Lyre Letter 2 As an only child, Sierra found the automatic support system of "intelligent, strong, goal- oriented women" really helped her navigate the ups and downs of undergraduate life. She knew there would always be a sister to offer a supporting hand, a friendly ear, or be up for a doughnut run. Sierra feels blessed to have had such a positive experience in Alpha Chi. "I've talked to women who were in other sororities and I don't think they had that same experience." The love and support from her sisters didn't stop when she left Manhattan. Several of her Alpha Chi sisters now live in Wichita and they communicate weekly and support each other like they did in college. Both as a collegian and as an alumna, Sierra said, "I've never met an Alpha Chi I didn't like." Sierra lives in Wichita, Kansas, where much of her time is dedicated to her career. "Work is my hobby. I love, love, love what I do and have been blessed to have been able to do it for 30-plus years." When she's not working, Sierra likes to travel and spend as much time as possible outdoors: boating, hiking, and mountain biking. She also loves finding a spare minute to stay home and read "positive mental attitude" books. You can reach out to Sierra at sierrapscott@cox.net. sierra scott '82 (Continued from page 1) Left: Rho Tau Rho Alumnae President Rebecca Spexarth Robinson '05 attends Alpha Chi Omega's National Convention in Orlando, Fla. R ho Tau Rho, the Manhattan alumnae chapter, celebrated the kickoff of its second year with an event at Liquid Art Winery in August. The chapter was also recognized as one of three new alumnae chapters at Alpha Chi Omega's National Convention in Orlando, Florida, this summer. Rho Tau Rho members led Gamma Zeta's Hall of Commitment ceremony for the first time this spring and assisted the undergraduates with polish and recruitment week activities. After months of hard work, Rho Tau Rho is delighted to officially announce the launch of a new website, www.rhotaurho.com. All alumnae are encouraged to visit the website to stay up to date on activities, renew your membership, or join Rho Tau Rho.
