Through hard work and dedication, our chapter has found success on our campus and also within the Norman community. Congress Awards This summer at ATW National Congress, our chapter was recognized as one of the top three overall chapters in recruitment for the 2015-16 school year. Our chapter signed 81 fall and spring pledges and initiated 62 new members into our brotherhood. Our chapter was also recognized for our excellence in scholarship, campus involvement, and volunteerism. Through our efforts to succeed in each one of these categories, our chapter was also recognized as a True Merit chapter for the sixth year in a row. Top Volunteerism Chapter One of the more important aspects of our involvement is our dedication to community service. Our chapter was recognized as the Top Volunteerism Chapter at this year's President's Trophy Awards. This is an incredible honor, but the greatest reward is having the opportunity to make a difference within our community. Our individual member volunteer average was 22 hours per member and we recorded more than 4,000 hours of community service within our community. We are very proud to have raised over $18,000 for organizations such as the Children's Miracle Hospital, CASP, and the American Cancer Society. All of these organizations have a special place in our hearts, and we are so thankful for the services that they provide to our community. Top Five Academics For the fourth straight year, our chapter ranked in the top five in grades among all fraternities on campus. This is an achievement that only two other fraternities on our campus have accomplished. At the most recent Student Life Awards, our chapter was recognized as an Outstanding Chapter in Academics, which marks our third year in a row receiving this honor. In addition, our new member GPA was also ranked in the top five. Upcoming Events This semester, our chapter will be competing in Homecoming, University Sing, and Scandals competitions. Our chapter is delighted to be working with the women of Delta Delta Delta, Gamma Phi Beta, and Alpha Phi for these events. We are excited that this semester is off to a great start, and we are so thankful for the support of our alumni who help to make all of our success possible.
