Holloway '57 entered Chapter Eternal on July 12, 2015. At the University of Florida, he was a member of ROTC. Upon graduating in 1961, he was commissioned as a lieutenant in the U.S. Army, where he served for 26 years. Rex was an army aviator, completing two tours in Vietnam as a helicopter pilot. His overseas service also included five years in Europe as a battalion commander. He retired as a lieutenant colonel. He and his family returned to Palatka, Fla., where he served as an academic counselor at St. Johns River Community College for 19 years. He was a lifelong Gator fan, enjoyed growing roses, working in his yard, and was an expert at fixing anything that was broken. Alumni News Jack Sherman '49 enjoyed reuniting with his Theta Chi brothers at the Tau Chapter Centennial, where he celebrated 67 years as a Theta Chi. They live in Palmetto Bay, Fla., where Douglas enjoys taking care of his clients as CEO of the Doug Williams Group. He and Vicki have two grandsons, whom they enjoy seeing as often as they can. Thomas J. Gelli '69 is happy to hear that everything is going well at the Chapter. He is proud to have been a contributor to the campaign and thinks the house looks great. Girvan '92 married Jenn Harner, a UF Kappa Delta, in March. They moved to Fort Myers, Fla., in January 2015, where Joe is the sports director for the NBC and ABC stations. He anchors at 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. on WBBH-TV. David G. Bacon '97 and his wife, Kathryn, moved from Orlando, Fla., to Charlotte, N.C., to open a new office for HGR Construction. They were happy to welcome home their third child, Zachary. David spends much of his time playing softball and watching Gator games with Eric Folk '96, Jake Adkins '96, and Steve Laval '98.
