page 3 alpha chi omega W ith your support, the Educational Corporation continues to sponsor the chapter as it strives for academic excellence and leadership involvement. Rebekah Strotman '13, vice president of intellectual development, is a key partner to the Educational Corporation. Her vision is to highlight her Xi sisters who are performing substantial actions through their majors and academic organizations. She wants every one of these fantastic women to have a spotlight shone on their great work. On the homework front, she has created positive ways for her sisters to be involved in the chapter's study programs. Rebekah initiated the use of My Greek Study, a phone app that allows each member to easily log and track their study hours. Rebekah also changed the academic contract so that it is based on a positive point system; all members may earn points for participating in academic activities. Her overarching goal is to move the chapter up in the all-Greek academic ranking. We wanted to share some of the wonderful Xi collegians who are creating an impact in our world. Allison Haindfield '13 interned with Senator Deb Fischer in Washington, D.C., McKenna Kime '14 interned with BDK Accounting and was offered a full-time position following graduate school, McKenzie Kjose '14 job shadowed doctors in Spain through the Atlantis Project, and Bri McKay '13 did anatomy research and presented it at a national conference. The Educational Corporation was excited to host the annual recognition ceremony, which identifies and honor collegians who exhibit academic and leadership success. This year, the ceremony took place October 3 (scholarship winners will be shared in the next newsletter.) Your donations to the Educational Corporation continue to support these events. Thank you for encouraging Alpha Chis to be involved, serve others, and achieve academic excellence.
