She's hopeful that alumnae will want to stay connected long after graduation. "It's important to see what's going on with the chapter and see how you can help," Esther says. "Alumnae have helped before us, now it's our turn to step up." As a former French and German teacher, Esther enjoys substitute teaching. In her spare time, she enjoys art, photography, biking, and volunteering at United Way and Mentoring Moms. She and her husband, Dan, live in Omaha, Neb. Those who attended were the first to see our newly furnished living room and formal TV room redesigned by Nell Hills out of Kansas City. We were also able to present the next few items that need to be updated at Xi Chapter, including both second- and third-floor bathrooms. The event was held at the chapter house and offered a host bar as well as appetizers that were a big hit with alumnae. We had more than 60 guests in attendance and a few ladies even stayed overnight at good old 716. We have had many requests to make this an annual event! KAppA KAppA The Kappa Kappa membership drive began in February, but it's not too late to send in your $35 dues.
