ALPHA GAMMA DELTA closest friends are ΑΓΔ sisters, including women from her hometown of Dothan, Ala., and other cities around the state. "I would not want my life to be without my ΑΓΔ group. Psi Chapter gave me my current friends for visiting, trips, fun, and happiness," she said. Jan and her husband, Paul Leonard, have two children: John Roberts, a student at the University of Alabama, and Julia, a student at Georgia Tech. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time at the lake and is a part of the ΑΓΔ Birmingham Alumnae Club. Jan lives in Mountain Brook, Ala., and can be reached at pasteleo@aol.com. A t the end of the spring 2016 semester, Psi's former president, Mary Harmon Tyson '12, received the Most Outstanding Sorority President award at the 2015 Order of Omega Banquet. After celebrating with senior week and overboard, we said goodbye to the 2012 pledge class and our sisters parted for the summer. Throughout the summer, many of our members studied abroad, served on mission trips, volunteered at camps, and completed internships. SUMMER CONVENTION SUCCESS The biannual Alpha Gamma Delta International Convention was held this summer in Orlando, Fla. Psi brought home three awards for our hard work! • Activities – awarded for having all 400-plus members involved in campus and community organizations outside of Alpha Gam • Joy of Service – awarded for outstanding community service and commitment to philanthropy • Rose Bowl – awarded for having the highest cumulative GPA of all Alpha Gamma Delta Chapters UNDERGRADUATES WELCOME RECORD-BREAKING PLEDGE CLASS Psi kicked off the fall semester by pledging 148 outstanding new members! The largest pledge class in our chapter's history is in great hands with New Member Educators Emory Johnston '14 and Mae Rose Tyson '14. "We are so honored to have the opportunity to love on and pour into such a phenomenal group of young women. We cannot wait to see the impact each of them will have on campus and in our chapter," they said. BUSY FALL SEMESTER AHEAD Fall activities are in full swing, including soccer and flag football intramurals, 5th Quarter Initiative, various philanthropy projects, Homecoming preparation, game days at the chapter house, and many more fun social events! We truly appreciate the love and support we receive from our incredible alumnae, and would love to see you at the chapter house for all of the home football games this season. Roll Tide and LIEP!
