In 2010, Psi Chapter was considering its new chapter house, and Jan found her fit as finance advisor. In this role, she applies her professional expertise to chapter budgeting and implementation, working alongside the undergraduate executive council members. For her efforts, Psi Chapter awarded her Advisor of the Year. "With all of the talented and tireless alumnae who currently serve Psi Chapter, this is a big, and very nice, surprise for me, one of which I am honored to receive," she said. "I think the undergraduate women are absolutely wonderful. They make me want to accomplish more in my own life. They are role models for me." During her undergraduate years, Jan held multiple offices, which helped develop her time management skills. While working toward her MBA, Jan furthered those skills by serving as an advisor assistant on executive council. Now, as finance advisor, she sees the active members staying involved on campus and admires their busy schedules and chapter accomplishments. "The undergraduates are involved, smart, desirous to serve, and represent ΑΓΔ extremely well," she said. "I marvel at how accomplished they are at so many different activities and subjects."
