By Joanne Winer The Quartzsite Business Chamber of Commerce is now taking names for the spaces around the edges of the upcoming Business Loca- tor Map that has been done by the Business Chamber for many years. The map includes every business in town, and some of the points of interest as well. The spaces around the edge of the map will be sold to members first, and will cost $100. per space--the price of printing went up, and they are planning to print thousands more due to the 150th birthday celebrations which will be notated on the map--people will buy it just for a souvenir! When your business pays for the space around the edge of the map, you will get 50 maps in return once they are printed. This gives your $100. back since they sell for $2.00 this year. It will also give you 50 maps to sell and get your money back that you paid for the space, After your 50 maps are sold, you can also buy more wholesale from the Business Chamber for $1.00 each so you will make $1.00 and the other dollar will go back to the Chamber as a fundraiser. There will also be a special price for non- members who wish to carry it in their stores. Paul Winer will be starting to get the map put together this month, so the deadline for your space at the edge will be Oct. 20 to let them know. You don't have to pay right away, but we need the information as soon as possible so he can get started on the edge and the grid. With this being the first one done since 2010, there hare dozens of changes he has to make with new businesses coming and some old businesses retiring or being sold etc. so it will take him many days to do all the drawings and get it ready for printing by Novvember and back in time for the busy season. They will be going on winter hours hext week and will be open 5 days a week--Monday through Friday from 10 am to 3 pm.
