p. 2 TEXAS ALPHA ACCOLADE Membership is just $20 per month! What Did the S&C Society Do Last Year? T he Skull & Crossbones Society of Texas Alpha sustains our 501(c) (3) Education Foundation. In the past year we: PROVIDED • Four officer scholarships to Kyle Mason '16, Austin Kaiser '16, Nick Lednicky '17, and Sam McQuilken '17 • Buffkin Felker Brotherhood Scholarship to Andrew Boyd '17 • John K. Tyler Balanced Man Scholarship to Kyle Mason '16 UNDERWROTE • Founders' Day banquet at Austin's JW Marriott • Alumni receptions in Houston and Dallas SPONSORED • Eight executive council members' travels to Carlson Leadership Academy in Oklahoma City • Risk management and recruitment seminars provided to the chapter at large by National Fraternity representatives "The Skull & Crossbones Society is a way for me to do something permanent that directly involves education. I had several fraternity brothers who had to do all sorts of odd jobs to have money to stay in school and get their education. Their determination and hard work left a lasting impression on me. Hopefully, my gift will benefit someone in a similar situation to what I witnessed while a SigEp at Texas." -Mike Field '68 "I chose to become a charter lifetime member of the Skull & Crossbones Society in order to 100% help out the Sigma Phi Epsilon Texas Alpha Chapter in Austin, Texas, in their chapter fundraising efforts. I spent from 1970 to 1973 as a TX Alpha Chapter member and deemed my contribution worthwhile since it would specifically stay 100% within the TX Alpha Chapter in Austin for worthwhile causes supported by the Skull & Crossbones Society. I also would like to request that other former and current SigEp brothers of Texas Alpha, who desire to make a contribution, also donate to the Skull & Crossbones Society since all monies remain at the chapter level in Austin." -Steven Covey '73 "The programs and events our Education Foundation sponsors positively influence our young leaders. I consider the Skull & Crossbones Society to be an investment in the future that I'd like to see." -Jerry Smith '79 THE SKULL & CROSSBONES SOCIETY MEMBERS Robert L. Adair III '65 Jim S.
