Page 3 Delta upsilon J erry Kenefake '92 graduated from KU with a degree in history. Since graduating, he has started several businesses over the past 20 years. He currently has a manufacturing company that produces picture frames and framed mirrors and is always looking for the next business to grow. One of his favorite memories as an undergraduate was his junior year yell-in. As an alumnus, he always looks forward to the spring event. He joined the advisory board so undergraduates can have the same experience he did. "Creating an environment that allows the undergraduates to succeed academically and socially is critically important." Jerry says. "We can demonstrate the ways that they can grow personally and benefit the fraternity by embracing all that the house can offer." Jerry has been married 15 years and has three children. In his free time, he enjoys coaching football and baseball. He lives in Leawood, Kan., and you can contact him at jerry@mypromostore.com. J eff Wilcox '92 has a degree in aerospace engineering and is now the general manager of the Kansas-Missouri market unit at Coca-Cola Refreshments. He leads a team of 750 people who are responsible for the sales and supply chain management of Coca-Cola products. As an undergraduate, he enjoyed the friendships and the social events. Jeff is thankful to be reconnected to the chapter, as he's able to settle back into old friendships and meet new DU alumni. Last December, he was approached by Phil Frerker '93 regarding the culture change alumni wanted to cultivate. In his role, he enjoys helping men lead and learn. "Advising the undergraduate leadership is a natural fit and gives me an opportunity to share what I have learned about leading teams during my experiences in the Navy and at Coca-Cola," Jeff says. Jeff and his wife have been married for 22 years, and he enjoys attending his children's sporting events. He lives in Leawood, Kan. E-mail: jewilcox@coca-cola.com J ohn Mullies '92 has a degree in business administration and medical technology. He works at Cerner Corporation as a platform data strategist and is in his 20th year at the company. One of his favorite undergraduate memories was participating in Rock Chalk Revue his sophomore year—he still thinks the show should have won. When John was approached about joining the alumni advisory board, he was thrilled. His favorite part about being on the advisory board is giving back what he can from his many business experiences. "I have many years of career decisions, corporate knowledge, growing teams from scratch, global business experience, and coaching that I can share with undergraduates and the alumni," John says. In order to get DU back to prominence on campus and nationally, he believes it's going to take plenty of hard work and dedication from the alumni volunteers. He lives in Olathe, Kan., with his wife, Carrie, and their daughter, Daphne. E-mail: jmullies@cerner.com J .P. Gerritz '95 received a degree in foreign language. He now works at Centurylink where he manages a team that monitors bandwidth utilization. His most fond memory as an undergraduate was winning Rock Chalk Revue, and as an alumnus, he's loved attending every Final Four that KU has made with pledge brothers. Due to J.P.'s quality time at DU, he wants to ensure that the undergraduates are able to have similar experiences. "I want young men to build great friendships like I was able to," J.P. says. He believes it's important to mentor the undergraduates, support recruitment efforts, and encourage strong academic growth. J.P. is also a board member of the Sean D. Biggs Memorial Foundation, which raises money for for cancer prevention and provides a study abroad scholarship to KU engineering students. He and his wife have been married for 16 years and have two daughters. He is a resident of Leawood, Kan. E-mail: ringo1973@hotmail.com T ommy Beeler '08 graduated from KU with a degree in business management and went on to complete his law degree in 2011. He is employed at Cerner Corporation as a population health sales executive. His favorite memories as an undergraduate included The Hill championship, Rock Chalk Revue, and "fratio Fridays." Tommy is new to his role, but is excited to be a resource to members by teaching them to make DU a better place than when they arrived. He believes the most important thing that alumni can do is be present. "The undergraduate Chapter should not feel alienated from the alumni," Tommy says. "They should feel supported by us—the worst thing an alumnus can do is leave the house and never look back." He is a resident of Prairie Village, Kan. E-mail: tbeeler5@gmail.com M ark Robinson '08 graduated from KU with a degree in finance and now serves as vice president of Great Range Capital, a private equity firm in Kansas City. His best memory as an undergraduate was celebrating the 2008 NCAA Championship with brothers on Mass Street. Having been loosely involved with the Chapter in recent years, joining the alumni advisory board was an easy choice given the great experiences he had as a DU at KU. In his role, Mark is looking forward to building on the Chapter's new member recruitment efforts and strengthening the ongoing connection between alumni and undergraduate members. Outside of serving on the advisory board, he and his wife stay busy with their two children at home in Mission Hills, Kan. E-mail: mark. robinson@greatrangecapital.com B rett Koehn '11 received a degree in accounting and works for Hallmark as an internal auditor. His most fond memory as a DU undergraduate was watching the 2008 NCAA Championship game in the green room with his brothers. He stays in close contact with his brothers, and he was a groomsman in two of his pledge brothers' weddings last year. Brett decided to join the board because he wants to pass along the great traditions and memories of the Kansas Chapter. He believes alumni can play a very important role in the recruitment process. "Whether it's simply referring a high school senior or offering to call a potential new member who's on the fence about DU or Greek life in general, a little help can go a long way," Brett says. He lives in Fairway, Kan. E-mail: brett.koehn@hallmark.com MEET THE ALUMNI ADVISORY BOARD
