Chapter Eternal
Doug Maritan '85, of Fayetteville, Ark.,
entered Chapter Eternal September 21,
2014, at age 51 after a sudden illness. Upon
graduation from Oklahoma State, Doug
chose Fayetteville as his home and went
on to succeed in several local businesses.
Blessed with a passion to serve others and
an adventurous spirit, Doug entered the
food and beverage business in the late '80s,
but was also active in many other business
interests, including land development,
home construction, and several others. No
business endeavor he entered, however,
rivaled his greatest achievement—his love
and passion for his two children and the
time he spent coaching them in youth sports
throughout their younger years. Doug is
survived by his wife, Kim Faggetti Maritan;
son, Matthew Hale Maritan; daughter,
Lauren Kate Maritan; and lifelong brother
Bart Glass '85 of Atlanta, Ga.
Alumni News
Dr. Charlie A. Kimball '72 was honored by
induction into the Will Rogers High School
Hall of Fame on April 1. He was the 47th
inductee out of 43,000 graduates. Charlie
was also honored as a Significant Sigma
Chi. He lives in Norman, Okla., with his wife,

Brian Scott '89 married Judy Baer on
June 11 in Tampa, Fla.
A number of OSU alumni
attended the wedding,
which was officiated by
Jim Arnove '89. Brian
and Judy have an 8-year-
old foster son, George,
whom they hope to adopt
by the end of the year. Judy, a South
Carolina Gamecock, is a master claims
rep for Nationwide Insurance, while Brian
owns a small business consulting firm. The
wedding reception was punctuated by an
OSU baseball victory in the NCAA Super
Regionals over Judy's beloved Gamecocks!
