It's location at the fair will be such that people will be able to stare down into the structure. The exhibit was on dis- play Thursday at the Red Bluff-Tehama County of Chamber's monthly Good Morning Red Bluff meet- ing. After the meeting the exhibit was to be disman- tled into about 35 pieces and shipped down to Sacramento for the state fair. The name of the fatal driver of the Carls Jr. big rig that crashed at 2:04 a.m. Thursday on northbound Interstate 5 at Sunset Hills has been released as Chad Walker, 47, of Man- teca, CHP Officer Roger Smith said. Walker died of his injuries at the scene. His passenger, Jerry Kline, 50, of Modesto, who was in the sleeper birth in the rear of the big rig, was flown to Mercy Medical Center in Redding with major injuries, Smith said. Walker was driving north in the slow lane about 55 mph when for unknown reasons he allowed the big rig to veer to the right, going onto the east shoulder edge where it side- swiped a guard rail just south of Snively Road/Sunset Hills, a CHP release said. As the semi continued north, it went under the overpass, which it collided with according to the CHP website.
