2 THE DRAGON'S WAGON W e are deeply grateful to the 115 brothers who committed $227,032 to the Pride in Our Past, Legacy for the Future campaign. These alumni recognize the importance of ensuring the future of Gamma Psi and have demonstrated a sense of gratitude for their personal experience. This project would not have been made possible without your ongoing support. All donors contributing a minimum of $2,500 to the campaign, over a five-year period, will be recognized on a plaque prominently displayed in the chapter house, and all donors will be recognized on printed publications of donor lists. If an error has been made in recording your gift, or your name has been mistakenly omitted or listed improperly, we sincerely apologize. This goes to show that no matter where life takes you, Beta Theta Pi is a common thread we all share. There is an unparalleled network of Betas who will always be there to offer friendship and support." With the amount of success Gamma Psi has cultivated today, John is hopeful that alumni will rekindle their fraternal bonds and take an active approach in the chapter's continued excellence. "The undergraduates are outstanding young men with a vision; they are all leaders and the chapter is in great hands. Many alumni were involved in getting the chapter back on campus, and for a while, it seemed like mission impossible. But today, Wooglin is smiling down on the Gamma Psi Chapter," John says. "As alumni, we have as much or more to learn from our undergraduates as they have to learn from us. The more we feel connected to our chapter, the more willing we are to give our time and finances to help our chapter flourish. Take time to give back to the place that gave you so much; you'll be glad you did." John owns an insurance agency with his son, Todd, in Jackson, Michigan, which specializes in employee benefits and wealth transfer. When he is not hard at work, John and his wife, Joan, take pleasure in watching MSU sporting events, spending time with their son, Todd, and attending their grandsons' tennis tournaments. "Over the last 50 years I've always had airplanes, and it makes me proud to see our son enjoy being the pilot of our Beechcraft Bonanza with his two sons, Sam and Charlie!" he says.
