Sigma Phi EPSilon P.O. BOX 427 MANHATTAN, KS 66505 addrESS SErviCE rEqUEStEd t h e H O O P o f S T E E L W ith the start of the fall term, our members look forward to another great year at SigEp. The Chapter is looking to build off of the recruiting success we had last spring and keep the momentum going into the fall. Vice President of Recruitment Max Kuhn '18 did a fantastic job of recruiting an outstanding class of new members for SigEp, with 27 total new members from across the state of Kansas. Additionally, we hope to log another semester of good grades. Last spring yielded an average GPA of 3.2 for the Chapter, ranking us in the upper tier of KSU fraternities once again. From home football games to Homecoming week, there is much in store for SigEp in the way of programming. We are mostly looking forward to our Live Your Oath event with the women of Alpha Delta Pi sorority and our fall philanthropic and community service opportunities. Along with member- focused events, the Chapter hopes to host a few alumni-centered events at the Chapter House and around the Manhattan community. In addition to the Rob Regier Memorial Golf Tournament, which yields a consistent amount of alumni support, we hope to host events like an away football game watch party at the Chapter House or an alumni-student mentorship "get to know you" event. With the new executive board and addition of a new housemother, we hope to continue being one of the more well-rounded fraternities at Kansas State University. The new executive team is full of ideas and creativity, which I believe will bring our Chapter to new, unparalleled levels of performance. Our new housemother, Diann Veith, is already bringing excitement and enthusiasm that hasn't been felt in the house for some time. Mom V. received a B.S. in elementary education from KSU and is an alumna of Alpha Delta Pi sorority. With all of this to look forward to, it's no wonder the men of Sigma Phi Epsilon are so excited for the upcoming year. Fraternally, Carson Lilley '18 Chapter President cslilley@ksu.edu Onward and Upward Recruitment, Academics, and Housemother Bring Excitement to Kansas Beta The SigEp basketball team reclaims the crown as intramural basketball champions of the Fraternity league last winter. The team finished the season on a seven-game wining streak, which ended with a 53 to 41 victory over Delta Sigma in the championship game. SigEp, Beta Sigma, and Kappa Alpha Theta are crowned as the Greek Week champions for the second consecutive year. Former Chapter President Tyler Struckhoff '15 is recognized by K-State Fraternity and Sorority Life as the 2015 Outstanding Chapter President. Kansas Beta Centennial in February 2018 is on the horizon. Don't miss out on celebrating this major milestone! See page 1 for details on how to get involved.
