Every Brother Can Have a Role to Ensure the Lodge Reflects Our Best C hi Psi is on the verge of the greatest era in our long history at Ole Miss. All that's missing is a first-class Lodge that reflects the quality of our members, and thanks in part to the support of a host of Brothers and friends, that long-held dream will come to life very soon. We're writing to make one more appeal. As we prepare to open the Lodge in September, we need to order most of the furnishings now. Those costs, combined with the construction invoices, will put a short-term strain on our cash flow. We need to bring in new donations to build up our funds and to cover additional project costs beyond what was originally forecast. You'll find a sampling of the design concepts for furnishing the rooms on page 2 of this issue of The Gamman. If you like what you see, it's easy to play a role in this effort—whether you've already made a pledge or not. At www.youcaring. com/lodge we've posted the full array of the design concepts. You can make a donation by credit card and designate your gift to any item on our list, such as sofas for the living room, an engraved Chi Psi crest in the hardwood floor of the entry hall, or a replica cannon for the Philip Spencer Bar. (Yes, we're bringing it back!) Please note gifts through this site are not tax exempt. However, if you'd like to make a donation of $5,000 or more, we can direct it to our foundation for tax purposes. Now it's time for us to do our part and finish this project strong! Chi Psi Is Leading the Way Alpha Gamma is a campus leader. In 2016, Chi Psi won the top honor in the IFC "core values" Greek Awards in the category of Respect and Dignity for All. We were also a finalist in the category of Personal and Professional Development. In 2015, Chi Psi received a ranking of excellent in seven of the eight Order of Omega Greek Awards categories. Several Brothers have served as freshman orientation leaders and IFC rush counselors during the past three years. Alpha Gamma is an academic leader. Chi Psi has consistently ranked in the top three cumulative GPAs of all fraternities, with several Brothers initiated into the Phi Kappa Phi honor society and two modern-era Brothers earning the prestigious Taylor Medal, our University's highest academic honor. After breaking ground in September 2015, construction on the Lodge is well underway and on track to be completed in September 2016 W e're hosting webinars to share detailed floor plans and illustrations of how the rooms in our new Lodge will be furnished. Ed Coleman '88, a member of our Construction and Design Committee, is the host. The "virtual tour" takes about 45 minutes, including Q&A. Want to join?
