This is the case with Up & Coming Weekly's 15th Annual Best of Fayetteville readership survey. This is the one time a year our newspaper readers can share with the community those exceptional people, places, businesses, organizations, institutions and venues that have distinguished themselves as the Best of the Best. Make no mistake about it. This is a fun, but serious, undertaking with much at stake. Not only is our community recognizing excellence. This event serves as a barometer of achievement and excellence that sets the standard by which others will be measured in the future. Equally important, a win here means the reward of annual year-round promotion and tens of thousands of dollars in future publicity, marketing, advertising and promotional opportunities that begin the moment the annual winners are announced. Several new and exciting developments this year has the Best of Fayetteville contest ascending to yet another level of excellence making participation easier, more inclusive, diverse and fun. All of our traditional "offi cial" sponsors are on board. The ballots will again be mailed to and audited by Utley & Knowles CPA's and the Trophy House/Clark Sporting Goods will be returning for their 15th year as suppliers of awards. New to this year's competition is Rob Kallmeyer and his team of talented Internet gurus at Brainbox Development. They will provide Up & Coming Weekly readers the convenience of being able to vote and submit their ballots electronically online. How cool is that? Also, new this year, we have eliminated all media categories Fayetteville's Weather Forecast Thursday June 21 Friday June 22 Saturday June 23 Fayetteville's Weather Forecast from the ballot and named Beasley Broadcasting the offi cial media sponsor of the 15th Annual Best of Fayetteville. All of their radio stations will participate under the direction of Market Manager and community supporter Mac Edwards. Mac, and the Beasley stations, have long been known for their commitment and participation in the Fayetteville community. They will bring a local and regional awareness of the event while showcasing the best Fayetteville has to offer. Last, but surely not least, Josh and b Tonia Collins have stepped up to sponsor and host the Best of Fayetteville Awards Party at Wet Willies on Sept. 1. What a great place to have a party, celebrate and recognize the annual winners! Mark your calendars. There will be great food, drinks, music, door prizes and many more surprises. w b After all, when it comes to the best weekly newspaper in our community we are in a class all by ourselves. Vote! to save the date (Sept. 11 at Wet Willies) for the biggest and grandest party of the year. Thank you for reading Up & Coming Weekly. BILL BOWMAN, Publisher. COM- MENTS?
