First, on behalf of the undergraduate brothers, let me give a huge thank-you to the Alumni Volunteer Corporation, the Chapter support team, Headquarters Regional Directors Austin Chapman and Patrick Gallagher, the alumni, and all who have contributed time and resources for our Chapter. We are extremely grateful for the support and are optimistic about the future of SigEp at the University of Florida. All that has been accomplished thus far would not be possible without you. For me, and for many other brothers, SigEp was an opportunity to be surrounded by men who wanted to be challenged to become better versions of ourselves. SigEp seeks to challenge the status quo and we have the manpower to do so. As you may know, this past spring, 40 men committed to the idea of challenging the status quo. Now that we are in the summer, many of the guys are hard at work preparing for the fall. Aaron Blau '19, vice president recruitment, and Ryan Decker '19, our Balanced Man Scholarship chairman, and his committee are making sure the next group of outstanding men is as dedicated and motivated as those of us who were made aware of SigEp through the Balanced Man Scholarship selection process. This summer, our brothers are also interning at firms like J.P. Morgan, studying abroad, and two brothers are attending SigEp's prestigious Ruck Leadership Institute in Richmond, Virginia. Only 150 of the 15,000 SigEp undergraduates are selected to attend Ruck. Having two of the 150 coming from our Chapter is a significant accomplishment. Please join me in congratulating Brothers Ty Robare '17 and Cameron Riley '17! Ty and Cameron are most grateful for the financial support they received from the AVC and the Harold L. Hodge Jr. Scholarship Fund, which paid for their registration for the Ruck Institute. Additionally, it is with great gratitude we learned that our Alumni Volunteer Corporation has made another generous investment in the Chapter to carry on the work of Patrick and Austin by funding half of Headquarter representative Zac Gillman's salary and expenses. Zac will exclusively support only the UF and FIU SigEps, to help us continue our forward momentum through next year. A Greek proverb said, "A society grows great when men plant trees whose shade they know they will never sit under." Again, we want to thank all of you who have planted those trees and are providing support to this Chapter. We look forward to continuing and expanding upon the success of SigEp at the University of Florida. HFF, Patrick Goodrich '18, Chapter President Brothers Cameron Riley '17 and Mike Lewis '74 hung a banner on the house to let the world know that SigEp is on the way back.
