AlwAys Anchored Epsilon Chapter of Delta Gamma • The Ohio State University • Spring 2016 W e are pleased to announce that, during the five months since announcing our campaign, we have raised over $134,000, bringing our total to $563,070! This is a tremendous feat and would not have been possible without the generous support of our alumnae. The number of sisters joining us on this journey has doubled since our announcement, and more continue to join us every day. Every Epsilon ΔΓ is invited to participate in the Anchoring a New Future for Epsilon campaign. We are inspired by and grateful for those sisters who were able to make early pledges. Their gifts started our fundraising, but there are opportunities for every sister to contribute to making our goal. We want to see every sister on our list of donors. Our active sisters will move out of the chapter house at the completion of the spring semester. Once zoning is approved, construction is slated to begin in late summer. During the next two years of construction, Epsilon will rent the previously unoccupied Kappa Kappa Gamma chapter house. This agreement allows the chapter to continue living together in a chapter house setting. For more information on our lease with Kappa, please see page 6. LET'S REMEMBER WHY OUR PLANNED RENOVATIONS ARE IMPORTANT. Updated meeting space will allow our over 200 members to gather and eat together, and increased bedrooms will give us more space to house most of our sophomore class, as well as important junior and senior leadership. With more than 200 members, we need more space! Housing competition at OSU continues to grow. We must be able to compete with the abundance of housing experiences on campus. While not the most important aspect, a safe, modern, and updated chapter house is a significant aid in recruitment. We reassure you that we remember our instructions to "Do Good." Our first campaign goal remains reaching out to more than 50 years of Epsilon women to connect us as a chapter. Together we can "Do Good" by providing space, safety, and a competitive advantage to the Epsilon Chapter. Delta Gamma guided us as collegians, and it continues to bind us today. It is our shared character, principles, and values that are making it possible for us to create a current Epsilon chapter house that is beautiful in appearance. If you have not done so already, please use the enclosed pledge form to make your gift today. Gifts of all sizes are needed and appreciated. We encourage all sisters to thoughtfully consider what gift is right for you at this time. Remember you may spread your gift over five years to maximize your giving potential. Thank you for your support as we anchor an exciting future for Epsilon.
