Box 1229 Dublin, OH 43017 Address Service Requested A fter much discussion and planning among alumnae leaders, it has been decided that Epsilon will rent the Kappa Kappa Gamma chapter house for the next two years while our house undergoes renovations. The Epsilon undergraduate members understand what is expected of them while they live there—they will treat Beta Nu's chapter house as their own. They have agreed to the guidelines in place to ensure the house is kept in tip-top shape for when Kappa Kappa Gamma returns in the fall of 2018. Since September 1, 2015, Ohio State has been caring for the Beta Nu chapter house with no one living in it. That status will change come June 1, when Epsilon enters into a lease agreement with Kappa Kappa Gamma. The Beta Nu Building Association (BNBA) will require a guaranty from us for two years of rent (2016- 17 and 2017-18) with a $65,000 deposit as an advance payment toward the first year's rent. Since we are guaranteeing two full years of rent, it allows Beta Nu to collect enough to cover all of their mortgage, property tax, insurance, and licensing expenses, along with much of their corporate expenses. Some stipulations that have been put into place: • The archive room, red study rooms in the basement, and the BNBA office in the basement are off limits. • Delta Gamma must provide a house manual to all members, including all rules and policies previously established by BNBA, and must provide a semi-annual house orientation for all members to review the house manual. • Delta Gamma is responsible for all missing items, damage, or maintenance required as a result of use or overuse determined by OSU to be above and beyond the regular maintenance agreement. • Delta Gamma may not permanently affix any letters, symbols, or other insignia to the outside of the house, but may temporarily affix a sign using zip ties to the balcony. • Beta Nu formal sitting room, study lounge, and entryway furniture will be stored and not utilized during the Delta Gamma lease agreement. • Decor may be installed in common areas by professional maintenance workers only and with the pre-approval of BNBA. • Delta Gamma may use their own cleaning service but must use OSU's maintenance services. • Residents (including house director) have first right of refusal to reserve a space to park in one of two 14th Avenue lots free of charge. Residents must fill out a parking application by September 1. Spaces that are reserved but left empty for more than 30 days may be assumed by BNBA and rented to the general public. • BNBA reserves the right to sell seven parking spaces, regardless of resident demand. • Any spaces not claimed or used by residents shall be rented by BNBA. Epsilon is pleased to have a chapter house for our collegians to live the next two years. We are thankful that our members will continue to live together, eat together, and will have a place to hold chapter.
