Theta Techsan 7 Marilyn Young Slemmons '54 had one daughter who pledged Theta at the University of Arizona and a granddaughter who pledged Theta at Clemson, and is now affiliated at Oregon State. Marilyn's husband is retired and they travel frequently and enjoy family visits. She lives in Escondido, Calif. Nancy Jo Mankins Hubbard '59 lives in the Mid-Cities area between Dallas and Ft. Worth. She enjoys family that lives nearby, including her son and daughter-in-law, her daughter and son-in-law, and five grandchildren. Her first grandchild went to OU and Nancy Jo says, "She is very happy and I'm trying to learn to cheer for OU." E-mail: p1911@flash.net Jane Falkenberg Joseph '64 makes her home in Houston, Texas, with her husband, Larry. They enjoy travel and have visited all seven continents. "Africa and Antarctica were great." Jane has two children, Michael and Heidi. Susan Evans Sparkman '66 and her husband, William, live in Reno, Nev., and have three children. She shares, "My great joy was to be at the initiation of my granddaughter, Jaycie Colwell '15, into the Gamma Phi Chapter last fall." Janice Hassell Blake '74 is founder and president of JTB Consulting. She has more than 35 years of experience in the areas of non-profit management, fundraising, marketing, advertising, social media, and customer relations. She and her husband, Tom, have been married for 22 years and have one daughter, Becky, who is an assistant district attorney in Dallas. Rebecca Boles '76 lives in Arlington, Texas, where she is the assistant dean in the College of Architecture, Planning & Public Affairs at the University of Texas at Arlington. She owns a small business, M. Lynne Designs, in her hometown of Wichita Falls, Texas. Wesley Polk Lucas '06 and her husband, Tyler, live in Lewisville, Texas. She is the communications coordinator for the Grapevine Convention and Visitors Bureau. She shares, "Missing all my Theta sisters and Lubbock. Staying busy working to promote Grapevine as a tourism destination, cheering on the Red Raiders, and spending time with sisters in the DFW area. My husband and I hope to buy our first home soon!" She ensures that all of the equipment for parades, fireworks, and stunt shows is properly maintained and safe for Disney's cast and guests.
