The Ivy 4 Silent Chapter Betty Abling Lifsey '39 entered Silent Chapter on November 18, 2015, at the age of 97. Aer graduating from MSU, she went on to receive a graduate degree in library science from Wayne State University and enjoyed a long ca- reer as a school librarian in Birmingham, Mich. Betty is survived by her two daughters, Tina and Diane, and her granddaughter, Maria. Jane Phillips '60 entered Silent Chapter as a res- ident of Detroit, Mich. She served as a former secretary of the House Corporation. Lucy Gradolph '11 en- tered Silent Chapter on February 1, as a resident of Detroit, Mich. She graduated from Bloom- field Hills Andover High School in 2011, and was on the Dean's List at Michigan State for several years before earning her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science in 2014. Lucy was a devout animal lover and thoroughly enjoyed acting, modeling, fashion, running, working out, and traveling. She is survived by her parents, Paul and Marcia, and sister, Allison. Alumnae News Mary Clark '43 lives in San Francisco, Calif., and loves having the opportunity to reconnect with her Beta Beta sisters. "So far, all is well with me!" she says. Aer her husband, Cliff, passed away in 2002, she moved to Vail, Ariz., near the Tucson area to be closer to her daugh- ter and their family. Judith enjoys spending time with her three grandchildren, whom all have au- tism. "ey are amazing, fun, and sweet boys," she says. Sally Schrader Stoll '59 was thrilled to take two three-month trips around the world. She and her husband, Ralph, live in Lake Bluff, Ill., where they enjoy spending time with their six grand- children and are season ticket holders for Chica- go's Lyric Opera and Jazz and Blues at Symphony Hall.
