Our fall 2015 chapter GPA was 3.37, which is incredible for a group of more than 190 members. Sigma Chapter women have also racked up more than 10 community service hours per person this semester. We have enjoyed our last semester with our beloved housemother, Virginia Hayward, who will be retiring in May. We feel so honored that she has dedicated 25 years to this chapter and our members. She will be greatly missed. Sigma participated in the "Taking a Stand: Preventing Sexual Misconduct on Campus" training, hosted by an International representative, and we were glad to learn more about this subject. It has been a hot topic on college campuses and this training gave us an opportunity to discuss the definition of assault and safety, as well as how to help a victim. In February, we had a great turnout for our mixer with Sigma Phi Epsilon. We also had a sisterhood event at the local bowling alley where we spent hours bowling and bonding. We were excited to be a pilot group for the new international philanthropy, Moonball. International Council chose us to host a kickball tournament to raise funds for our philanthropic effort, Building Strong Girls. Teams from all over campus participated in the April event. Ballpark food, music, and t-shirts added to the celebration. From all of the women of Sigma Chapter, thank you for the support and love you show to Gamma Phi.
