On October 14, my husband and I welcomed twins, William and Josephine. I would like to thank Nancy Manring Holman '80, who served as interim chapter advisor for most of the fall semester, giving me time to focus on adjusting to motherhood. Nancy has served as the finance advisor for several years and received the Michelanean Award at the 2012 Alpha Phi Convention for her service to Alpha Phi on the local level. Nancy is a wonderful woman and Omicron has been lucky to have her on our advisory board. OUTSTANDING SENIOR AWARD This year at the Red Dress Gala, we presented the Val Lawlor Outstanding Senior Award to Alli Ladd '12. This award is given annually to a senior woman who has shown dedication to the chapter and exemplifies Alpha Phi's values. Val was in attendance to surprise Alli with the $1,000 award. Alli has served Alpha Phi as social media chairwoman, bylaws committee member, chapter historian, academic mentor, "den mom" for new members, and has been involved in skit and dance productions. Outside of the chapter, Alli co-founded the Women in Media at Mizzou organization and served as a Panhellenic recruitment counselor for formal recruitment in 2014. ALUMNAE/COLLEGIAN CONNECTIONS I love getting to see collegians interact with alumnae from different generations. This fall, we held our second Networking Dinner, where alumnae returned to Columbia, allowing members to meet women in their desired career fields. Another chance for collegians and alumnae to connect was the Red Dress Weekend. Members were joined by family, friends, and alumnae for a gala and poker tournament to raise funds for the Alpha Phi Foundation. A group of alumnae also had a reunion last fall. They attended a football game and spent time at the chapter house. A photo of the group can be seen on page 1. Alumnae are always invited to stop by 906 S. Providence Road anytime they are in Columbia—your collegiate sisters would love to meet you! Loyally, Carrie Moreland Reid '01 Chapter Advisor Alumnae Always Welcome at 906 S.
