Always Alpha Phi 4 O micron had a very busy and exciting year. We began the school year anticipating another year of growth and we are doing just that! RENOVATIONS MUCH APPRECIATED Last summer's basement renovations have provided more space for members to enjoy being together. The new craft room is a welcome addition when preparing for Big/Little reveal, and for making Homecoming decorations and philanthropy banners. The new conference room makes it possible to hold executive board and department meetings at the house. The entire chapter is extremely grateful for the alumnae effort that went into making these wonderful improvements. HOMECOMING ACTIVITIES We were paired with the men of Delta Tau Delta for Homecoming 2015. Vice President of Campus Affairs Gina Fasolo '13 and many others worked around the clock to organize and oversee every detail to ensure Alpha Phi's success. Our hard work showed on the night of final announcements; we placed in several categories this year! FALL PHILANTHROPY Meg Smith '13 organized Alpha Phi's fall philanthropy, Alpha Phizza, and it was a huge success. We served Gumby's Pizza to hundreds of members of the Mizzou community. There was a great turnout, and we raised nearly $9,000 for the Alpha Phi Foundation. It was a perfect preview for our February philanthropy activities. SISTERHOOD EVENTS Our annual sisterhood retreat was in Kansas City, Missouri. Members from all pledge classes spent a day shopping at the Plaza and attended a Royals game. It was a great bonding experience for everyone. We hosted Dad's Weekend, filled with tailgating and Tiger football; held a sisterhood event with Kappa Delta to decorate Halloween pumpkins; and enjoyed a holiday party with the men of Delta Upsilon. LEADERSHIP AND ACHIEVEMENTS Last fall, several chapter members were recognized for impressive leadership achievements. Cam Patton '13 was elected to the Panhellenic executive board and will serve as VP of marketing this year. Two chapter members were selected for Alpha Phi International's Emerging Leaders Institute, and Clare Hanks '12 was hired as an Alpha Phi Educational Leadership Consultant (ELC) for the 2016-17 school year. I wish we could list the name of every member who demonstrated outstanding leadership success this year, but the list would go on and on. OMICRON DOES IT AGAIN! The chapter's newly elected executive board traveled to Dallas in February for Alpha Phi's Southern Quadrant conference where they received training with officers from approximately 40 other chapters. Omicron was thrilled to be recognized in several categories: Most Improved Chapter, Most Improved Scholarship, and Outstanding Performance in Continuous Open Bidding. For the second year in a row, Omicron was named as a top-10 chapter in the quadrant and qualified as a finalist for the Order of the Lamp Award, which will be presented at this summer's Alpha Phi Biennial Convention to the top collegiate chapter. THANK YOU I want to thank our dedicated alumnae for the continued care you show for Omicron, both as volunteers and donors. You are a critical part of this chapter's success and enable us to carry on Alpha Phi's legacy at Mizzou. You help us grow and prosper and the collegiate members greatly appreciate all your love and support. Loyally Yours, Hannah M.
