The school is Tehama County's newest option in elementary educa- tion — a small, private school that uses the School of Mastery approach, meaning that students move through the curriculum as they master the material, rather than according to an arbitrary calendar. Founded in 2011, it will be open to grades 1-6 next year, and eventu- ally grades 1-8. Families that are interested in learning more are invit- ed. A number of different activities, including a science activity, a P.E. activity, and an arts and crafts activ- ity, are planed. Snacks will be pro- vided.
