Inscriptions can include name, graduation year, pin number, nicknames, family members, or spouses, and can be dedicated to other individuals, quotes, in honor or memory of brothers. W hen Dan Manson '72 came to Butler, he was immediately drawn to Delta Tau Delta because of its excellent reputation in leadership and academics on campus; but it was more than that. He felt a connection with the men of Beta Zeta and knew this was the fraternity for him. Throughout his time as an alumnus, Dan has maintained his connections to his Delt brothers. He keeps in touch with a number of members from his era and returns to campus for events, including Homecoming a n d b a s k e t b a l l g a m e s w i t h h i s brothers. "Beta Zeta is a common bond for those of us who appreciate what we experienced and what we hope to continue with current and future brothers." Over the years, Dan has been very pleased to see Beta Zeta thriving on Butler's campus. "I am always impressed with the young men I meet. I believe they will continue to be a brotherhood that teaches the members to be good citizens and successful in their chosen careers. People who make a difference." Dan credits the fraternity with helping to shape him into the man he is t o d a y . " I h a v e a l w a y s b e l i e v e d I l e a r n e d a s m u c h o u t s i d e t h e classroom as I did in the classroom because of my Delt experiences." Dan encourages his fellow Delts to remain connected to each other and involved with the chapter. "It is important that the young men attending Butler and joining Beta Zeta have the same opportunities their predecessors have had. The network of Beta Zeta Delts is a wonderful resource of experience and support to draw from."
