SIGMA KAPPA WINS PHILANTHROPIC AWARD At the end of 2015, Sigma Kappa was awarded Outstanding Philanthropist of the Year by the office of Fraternity and Sorority Life for raising $19,672 for the Alzheimer's Association. We also had a philanthropic event planned by Vice President of Philanthropic Services Anna Ache '14, where the campus community came to the house and ate unlimited grilled cheese sandwiches. This event raised $2,800 for the Sigma Kappa Foundation. MEMBERSHIP CONTINUES TO GROW The chapter participated in spring recruitment, and we accepted 15 new members who were initiated on April 3. SISTERS HOST MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS EVENT Vice President of Programming Kaylee Chappelow '14 partnered with another sorority and two MSU organizations to sponsor an educational speaker in late March. The author of You Are Not the Brightest of My Four Sons, John Shuchart, spoke to over 300 attendees about his battle with depression and addressed the stigma associated with mental illness. We are so glad we hosted this event and brought awareness to the entire MSU community. THREE MEMBERS JOIN PANHELLENIC COUNCIL We are proud to have three women represent Sigma Kappa on the Panhellenic Council: President Bailey Becker '13, Vice President of Recruitment Regan Schultz '13, and Director of New Member Education Amy Brown '14. We are thrilled with this opportunity for the chapter, and we love supporting these women in their roles! SIGMA KAPPA GRATEFUL FOR ALUMNAE SUPPORT Vice President of Alumnae Relations Cecelia Dickey '14 is working diligently to create new and exciting events for the Delta Upsilon alumnae.
