A s a new group of men take office this spring, we hope to build on the accomplishments of the former officers. The recent academic achievements of the chapter are impressive, and we plan to see continued improvement and success with our grades. We're proud to announce that for the second year in a row, our new initiate class recorded the highest GPA on the Hill. While we were extremely proud of the 2014 class for scoring a 3.33 GPA during their semester of pledgeship, the 2015 class scored an astounding 3.59. This impressive figure contributed to the all-chapter 3.41 GPA, a mark placing us an entire 0.3 grade points above the all-fraternity average. More than half of our members had a GPA above 3.5, and 14 members maintained perfect 4.0s. The 2016 executive council is proud to announce the initiation of all 27 candidates from the fall pledge class. We are honored to welcome these young men into our brotherhood. We have not taken on any new candidates for the spring semester, but we look forward to constructing a solid pledge class for fall 2016. Our top priority is to have no risk reduction violations and to emerge as leaders in the KU community. As Stephonn Alcorn '14, Nu 2366 stepped out of his 2015 Interfraternity Council position, two more Sigma Nus filled his place. Nathan Lutz '15, Nu 2377 and Brian Trigg '15, Nu 2381 represent two of the nine seats on the IFC, and look to make strides to improve Greek life as a whole. This summer, representatives from Nu Chapter will have the opportunity to attend Grand Chapter in San Diego. Eminent Commander Sam Gay '15, Nu 2394 was elected as one of four collegiate grand councilmen serving on the Sigma Nu High Council. We look forward to Grand Chapter with great anticipation, and the opportunity to have a voting representative on the Sigma Nu general assembly is a true honor. As a chapter, we also hope to be in consideration to receive the Rock Chapter award. As always, if you ever find yourself in Lawrence, please stop by the chapter house. The brothers would love to show you around.
