Bunch '08 Delta Mu Leadership Makes for an Exciting Semester Academics and Philanthropy at the Forefront of Successes This Spring T his spring has been an exciting semester so far for the Delta Mu Chapter. Our new officers have worked hard on some great new philanthropy events as well as sisterhood events. WELCOME, PARENTS Our Parents' Weekend was February 12-14. Parents from all across the country came to be part of our annual event. We kicked off the weekend with our inaugural philanthropy event, Miracles on the River. We had an exciting Saturday night with the Second Coming band, and we ended the weekend with our Pansy Breakfast. SUCCESSFUL NEW PHILANTHROPY EVENT Delta Mu's new philanthropy event, Miracles on the River, is a silent auction with a St. Jude patient as our guest. We raised more than $35,000 for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, which is a huge accomplishment for our Chapter. Philanthropy Chairman Mary Glenn Waldrop '14 is working hard on our Jam for St. Jude event that we are excitingly awaiting later this spring. HARD WORK PAYS OFF ACADEMICALLY Tri Delta had an excellent academic semester in the fall with our Chapter GPA being a 3.41, which places us sixth out of the 18 sororities on campus. Academic Development Chairman Baylor Jeffries '14 is working with our members to keep up with our in-house tutoring. SISTERHOOD REMAINS STRONG Membership Development Chairman McKenna Monk '13 is responsible for some of our most exciting sisterhood events this spring. We started off February with our annual Valentine's Day dinner where the sisters had fun listening to music and enjoying some chocolate treats. In the next few months, we will attend a kickboxing class and spend a day getting our nails done. Delta Mu constantly strives to excel in campus life, academics, philanthropy, and recruitment. We look forward to continuing these high ideals for many years to come. We hope to see you at the house soon.
