Delta Gamma page 5 ALUMNAE UPDATE CHAPTER ETERNAL Genevieve Slemmons McLaughlin '41 entered Chapter Eternal on August 26, 2015, in Seattle after a long and full life. She was the devoted wife and career partner of Daniel Joseph McLaughlin for more than 60 years until he passed away in 2004. She was a lifelong activist in Delta Gamma and the Colonial Dames. Gen was an enthusiastic supporter of the arts, especially ballet, but also opera and theater. Ruth Swanson Schneider '49 entered Chapter Eternal on May 6, 2015. Ruth attended graduate school at Stanford University. She spent 29 fulfilling years at the Career Planning and Placement Center at Stanford. She enjoyed traveling, ultimately visiting 100 countries. ALUMNAE NEWS Fern Bruce McKinnon '34 celebrated her 103rd birthday on November 20, 2015. She lives in West Des Moines, Iowa. Mary Louise Cutler Kraschel '36 lives in a nursing home in Council Bluffs, Neb. She is in the memory care section of the nursing home. Her 100th birthday was December 11, 2015. Eleanor Crispell '46 enjoys living in a senior retirement community in Sacramento, Calif. She has two children and several close friends that live nearby and she sees regularly. Jaclyn Fitch Phinney '47 lives in Bettendorf, Iowa. She attended her granddaughter's wedding in California wine country in October 2015. Jaclyn shares that her grandson will be married the summer of 2016 in Deer County, Wisconsin. Mary Hauer Milani '52 had a very eventful year. She is sad to report that she lost a dear son-in-law. Mary also underwent cancer treatments and built a new house. She lives in Moravia, Iowa.
