ALUMNAE UPDATE CHAPTER ETERNAL Verbie Oldham Nelson '53 entered Chapter Eternal in September 2014. She led a career as a wonderful educator and was honored as her district's teacher of the year in 1994. She enjoyed fly fishing and traveling, and was a member of the United Methodist Church. Verbie is survived by her loving husband, Don, her children, and grandchildren. Betty Swaim Ball '55 entered Chapter Eternal in May 2014. She is survived by her loving husband, Samuel, and their children, Stephen, Beverly, and Teresa. Her daughter, Teresa, shared, "She considered you all to be her sisters always." ALUMNAE NEWS Ramona Davidson McLaughlin '53 moved to Carillon, a retirement community in Lubbock, where she will live in the same community as several other Kappas. Jane Hampton Pillsbury '54 is still proud to be a part of the very first Delta Psi pledge class. She and her husband, Rocky, have three sons living in California, New Jersey, and Houston. Jane and Rocky have nine grandchildren, the oldest of whom just graduated from Yale University. She resides in Dallas. Celina writes Bible studies for her parish, which are available to others as well. She mostly rests after 23 years of teaching and serving as a pastor for 15 years. She is the proud half-owner of a tutoring business in San Antonio and Kerrville.
