Chapter Eternal Joseph H. Wythe Jr. '41 entered Chapter Eternal on October 11, 2015. Jack W. Rogers '51 entered Chapter Eternal on October 28, 2015. He loved photography, music, language, hiking, and traveling. Jack considered Sigma Chi to be an organization that gave him exposure to the world and inspiration for the rest of his life. U. G. "Butch" Savage '53 entered Chapter Eternal on August 7, 2011, after fighting a courageous battle with bladder cancer for six years. He was a dedicated and loyal Sigma Chi all of his adult life and is missed by all who knew him. James Ira "Jim" Crossland '56, longtime Newkirk resident and businessman, entered Chapter Eternal on December 3, 2014. Jim enjoyed golf, OSU football, and basketball. He was an avid reader, often reading more than one book at a time. He enjoyed attending social events and relished being around people. Alumni News Francis E. Spangler '50 and his Kappa Alpha Theta sweetheart celebrated 65 years of marriage in August 2015. He and Marybelle met on a blind date at Oklahoma A&M in the fall of 1948. They live in Seminole, Fla. McGee Jr. '65 reports that in April he and five brothers and their spouses (Dan Hill '63, Perry Mikles '63, Bob Terrell '63, Joe Porter '64, and Chuck Yadon '64) will meet at Dan Hill's ranch for their 10th consecutive reunion. He spends time at his Lakeway, Texas, house riding his Harley, gardening, playing tennis and golf, and snow skiing in the winter. His wife, Sissy, loves these activities, minus the Harley. John Kane '84 recently completed a term as president of the executive committee of the Oklahoma Judicial Conference. Wise '09 shares that he graduated from OU College of Law in 2013 and moved to Washington, D.C., in 2014, where he worked for the U.S. House of Representatives. In 2015, he moved back to Tulsa, where he now practices family law, estate law, criminal law, and civil litigation. He earned his MB degree in August 2014 from Oklahoma State and will be traveling to Venice and Rome in May. He loves to cheer on OSU football, especially when they are playing an Iowa team. E-mail: max.schauf@okstate.edu S heldon Detrick '59 has built not one, but two top-notch real estate organizations since he first entered the industry in 1960. In addition to creating and building companies, he is credited with recruiting and training more sales associates than any other broker in Oklahoma. Today, Detrick is CEO of The Detrick Companies, a holding company that owns the majority of the stock in Detrick Realty, Inc., Tulsa, and Alliance Real Estate Group, Inc., Oklahoma City, as well as Gibraltar Title Company, an agent for Stewart Title Company, Old Republic Title Company. He also has a marketing partnership with WestStar Mortgage Corporation. In 2014, Detrick sold the assets of the Detrick Companies to Berkshire Hathaway Real Estate Holdings. He is now in retirement, with more time to devote to true loves: his wife of 55 years, Jan, their daughter, four grandchildren (including a Sigma Chi), and Sigma Chi!
