The McMillan Family Caleb, 13 is the big brother and the oldest of the trick riders. Caleb was the 2011 Washington State Jr. High All-Around Champion in 2011. His athletic ability enables him to vault from one side to the other like the old-time cowboys used to do. Riley, 10, is the big sis- ter of the family and she loves to trick ride. You can see her hard work pay off when she rounds the arena entertaining you with her tricks as her flaming red hair flies in the wind. Callahan, 9, is the dare- devil of the family. Together, with her pony, Rebels, she will thrill with tricks you never thought a little girl could do. Davey, 7, is the youngest of the group. Davey is a real showman and is the hit of every show. These kids are being raised on a ranch in Soap Lake, Wash. and were born with the desire to ride and entertain. The McMil- lan trick riders are fully involved in the rodeo world. While Caleb is competing with the big boys, Riley, Callahan and Davey are all very compet- tors in the Northwest and wanted to add something extra to their rodeos. They sent Riley and Callahan to Harry and Karen Vold's Trick Riding Camp near Pueblo, Colo. This started their career. Caleb and Davey quickly joined the girls. They then pro- gressed to being taught by Joanie Parsons, a trick rider who resides in the Northwest and was taught by the legendary Dick and Connie Griffith. The train- ing received from Harry and Karen Vold and Joanie Parsons is the reason the group has excelled so quickly. These talented and fabulous trainers instilled strong values in them that they will take with them way beyond their trick riding years.
