PI BETA PHI'S SISTERHOOD REMAINS ESSENTIAL TO LOGAN LACHMAN '09 F or Logan Lachman '09, Pi Beta Phi was more than just a sorority. It provided her with a support system, a home away from home, and ultimately, it was the embodiment of her college experience. "Pi Phi made my USC experience more special than I could have ever dreamed of," Logan says. "If I had to do it all over again, I would go Pi Phi every time." The sorority helped Logan cultivate her leadership skills and motivated her to get involved on campus. As an undergraduate, she was California Gamma's chapter president, the student government vice president, and a member of various other organizations. "I was exposed to many groups of people on USC's large campus while being able to make a lasting impact on my university and the smaller Greek life community," she says. The skills honed at USC carried over to her career at Morgan Stanley, where she currently works on the fixed income sales and trading desk. After only two years, she has been promoted three times and is now the youngest member on the sales team. She offers a piece of advice to undergraduates and young alumnae: "The most important thing that I learned throughout college, internships, and the first few years of work is definitely to network. Whether it be other USC alumni, other females, or anyone else you have met along the way, your network is your net worth. The larger your network, the more opportunities you will come across." No matter the location, Logan stays in close contact with her sisters. She is roommates with her pledge sister, Michelle Kantor '09, and lives right around the corner from Alexis Medina '08, Erin Fashing '10, and Paige Garrett '10 (who is also her little sister). As for sisters that are far away, she still makes a point to chat with her best friends nearly every day through FaceTime, group chats, or social media. This year Logan felt compelled to donate to the California Gamma Chapter of Pi Beta Phi. "If I could give back even in the slightest and have someone else have half of the experience that I had, then I think it is money well spent," she says. Logan lives in New York City, and loves spending time with friends and family. She is an avid golfer, skier, and runner. When possible, she loves to attend New York Giants and New York Yankees games.
