MU MESSENGER 5 Mu Chapter Holds Sisterhood in the Highest Regard B eing a Delta Gamma at Mizzou means so much to me. It has allowed me to find a place to call home. It has allowed me to become involved in aspects of college that previously never seemed attainable. However, and most importantly, being a DG at Mizzou has allowed me to find lifelong friendships with women who hold the same values that I do. Our sisterhood is based upon the core values that our three founders envisioned in December of 1873. As we strive to "Do Good" in every facet of our lives, it shows. Membership within Delta Gamma at Mizzou means so incredibly much to every single chapter member. At Mizzou, Delta Gamma's Constitution and mission expresses itself through our resilient and uplifting sisterhood. Article II of our Constitution encourages all members to "foster high ideals of friendship among women, promote their education and cultural interests, create in them a true sense of social responsibility, and to develop in them the best qualities of character." Our sisterhood can be found in every aspect of membership at Mu chapter, whether that is within group study sessions at the chapter house, a philanthropy event on campus, a chapter retreat, or a social event. We always love being in the presence of our sisters and bringing out the best in them. This new chapter house will allow us to do that together in this beautiful new home without having to go onto campus to meet. From the collegiate point of view, Mu chapter could not be more excited about the rebuild! The amount of time and effort that has gone into this project to help Mu only gets better and is truly flattering. Although we will all miss our current chapter house, there is nothing but happiness as we continue to look forward to the new beautiful home that we will have awaiting us at 900 South Providence. One that we all will call home! This house is going to enable our chapter to do so many things. Since the rise in chapter total, it has been impossible to meet with everyone at our current chapter house. We cannot wait to have a place were the entire sisterhood can comfortably meet and enjoy each other for many years. Thank you to every single person who has gotten Mu to where it is today!
