Over the past few months, our chapter has faced many obstacles, but our faith and determination have never wavered. Our brothers are young, ambitious, and full of passion, and for this I look to the future with hope and excitement. GPA Sees Extreme Improvement This past semester, we achieved second place in academics with an overall GPA of 3.03. We are thrilled with our improvement from our previous semester. However, with the support of our two amazing faculty fellows, Christine Probett and Jessica Savalla, and their dedication to our Academic Success Program, we are confident that our chapter will regain its rightful place as number one. Brothers are Campus Leaders Our chapter is proud to have brothers embrace leadership roles across campus and build the reputation of SigEp as balanced leaders. Harrison Baum '17, vice president of finance, was elected last spring as the associated students representative of the College of Arts and Letters. Another true example of leadership and determination is our very own Alex Miller '16. Transferring into San Diego State last fall, it took Alex one academic year to be elected as the president of Mortar Board Senior Honor Society. CA Delta Highly Sought During Recruitment We are ecstatic to welcome in our new Sigma class of the fall 2015 semester. Vice President of Recruitment Connor Stevens, with the support of our entire chapter, recruited the most elite men that San Diego State had to offer. We are pleased to announce that 51 of the 55 bids we extended were accepted. This new class of diverse individuals will bring a great dynamic to the house and help our chapter reach new heights. We are confident that with the full implementation of our four-year development plan, these men will graduate ready to take on the world. I want to recognize two men that have made our success possible. Their devotion to this chapter has enabled us to be where we are today. They mentor us during times of trouble, and rejoice with us during times of glory. Congratulations to Skip Dahlkamp '63 and Bob Trovaten '67 for receiving the Order of the Golden Heart, and thank you for a combined 99 years of service to our beloved fraternity. HFF, Trevor Lahoz '17 Chapter President CA Delta Maintains Stronghold as Top Chapter at SDSU Collegiate brothers at an academic success meeting with Faculty Fellow Christine Probett. Christine is the former assistant dean of business at SDSU and helps CA Delta members achieve academic excellence. The AVC hosts a steak dinner each semester for members who earn a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
