After many years of hard work from countless brothers, daughters, little sisters, parents and friends, we have exceeded our campaign goal of $1,856,000. To date, we have commitments of $1,863,186! The chapter house is finally complete! We officially "cut the ribbon" during Relays Weekend and we moved the undergraduates into the house on August 22. Please see the photos throughout this newsletter of our new Theta Chi home. We will officially end the campaign on December 31, 2015. With 288 individual gifts, we have participation from 32% of our alumni base. The question is, will your name be on the donor board that will prominently hang in the foyer of the new chapter house? The December 31 deadline still gives you time to make or increase your commitment to $2,500, the minimum amount necessary for your name to be permanently displayed. Remember, the total cost of this project was $2.4 million. We will still have permanent financing in place of about $600,000, and we would really like to reduce this burden of debt; your commitment could truly help us do that. Your Investment in the Chapter Is Being Protected QC Building Corporation is very active in protecting and preserving the chapter house. We have a house parent in place who moved into the facility in August. Her name is Sandi Moran and she has already done an incredible job of building a community within the house. Among her many responsibilities, she is overseeing Carl, our cook from College Chefs, our cleaning staff, and our yard and snow removal staff. We are in constant contact with the undergraduate chapter to ensure that everything stays on track. We Hope to See You Very Soon When you walk through the military red door of the chapter house, are you going to feel pride that your name is on the donor board, or are you going to wish you had stepped up and made a commitment to the future of our chapter? You have until December 31 to get your name where you want it to appear. You can spread your gift over several years. The Helping Hand Foundation is well funded at this time, but we still need financial support for QC Building Corporation.
