Jacobs '61 entered Chapter Eternal in March 2015. He was a genuine family man who adored his children and grandchildren. David loved taking them on trips to his bay house, family holidays, fishing, and crabbing. He was an involved member of John Wesley United Methodist Church since 1974, where he served as an usher for many years. He took pride in volunteerism and especially enjoyed his Meals on Wheels route. He loved hunting, playing tennis with his friends at Raveneaux, cruising, fishing in Alaska several times each summer, and attended the last two Olympics. David is survived by his wife of 52 years, Dolly; daughters: Jodi, Jena, and Jill; and eight grandchildren. Parker Montieth '15, Andrew Bain '16, Derrick Porter '16, and Andrew Kuchta '15 present a check to Lori Kun of the Huntsman Cancer Institute for $60,000 for funds raised from last year's Fight Night.
