At Sigma Chi, he has been the technology chairman, scholarship chairman, and, currently, pro consul. David has also attended the Sigma Chi Horizons leadership program, along with the Balfour Leadership Training Workshop. On campus, he's served as a College of Engineering Ambassador, a Department of Mechanical Engineering Ambassador, and a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers Formula Design Team. All this is in addition to a rigorous field of study as he works toward a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. This summer, David completed an internship with Textron Aviation in Wichita, Kansas, where he worked with multiple layers of adhesive, testing them to see the impact on the production of airplanes. With two years of school remaining, David has his sights set on joining a thriving engineering firm after graduation. David's Sigma Chi experience has played a role in preparing him for the remaining time as an undergraduate as well as life after college. "I looked at several houses at K-State during recruitment, but Sigma Chi was the house that really stood out to me. It was a group where not everyone was the same, and the different temperaments, talents, and convictions of the men I met made an impression." "These past few years have been the best of my life. Sigma Chi has molded me into the man I am today and helped me to succeed. I've built confidence and can tell that I'm an entirely different person, in a better way, than when I graduated high school." David is one of many Sigma Chis flourishing at K-State and about to make a unique mark on his chosen career path. We're proud of the role he has played at Delta Upsilon thus far, and look forward to seeing how his journey progresses. David can be reached at chandler.david13@gmail.com.
