T h e EACON Fall 2015 B Capital Campaign Comes to a Close—Our Goal Has Been Reached! W e are very proud to announce that the $3 million goal for Delta Kappa's campaign has been reached! As of September 1, $3,014,432 has been given or pledged by 256 brothers and friends. The Housing Corporation would like to thank every donor to the campaign. Without every gift, there is no ATW house at OU. We would like to also thank the following, as without their time, effort, and support, the campaign to build a new house could never have happened: • Mel Clark '70, not only our campaign chairman, but the lead donor as well. We literally could not have made it without Mel. • Greg Hall '70, a donor and longtime Housing Corporation president and officer. He has been integrally involved with this effort from the very beginning. • Chancellor Glen Johnson '73 and Dean Joe Harroz '86, our honorary campaign chairmen who gave their time and prestige to the campaign. • Campaign committee members, who gave money, many hours in conference calls, and solicited their brothers for contributions. • Our six-figure donors: Mel Clark '70, Pete Godfrey '75, Lew Ward '51, Bob Purgason '75, the Dukes brothers (Bob '75, Greg '77, and Kevin '82), the Delta Kappa Chapter, and the class of 1978 in memory of Ron Forristall and Steve LeMaster. • ATW Foundation and Terry Turman who provided incredible support and help with tax-deductible gifts and pledges. • Richmond Property Group and Klaus Wittern, who have been our partners from the beginning and were there when we needed them to help us acquire the house property. • Republic Bank of Norman, our construction lender and provider of permanent financing. • Pennington & Company, who provides our fundraising structure, advice, and helps facilitate publications like this one. Please join us at the ATW house for Homecoming on October 24 to celebrate this milestone. A tailgate will begin three hours before kickoff, and there will be a short program to commemorate the new house, which exists solely due to your generosity. The campaign for Delta Kappa will formally close at the celebration on October 24, and a final figure will be announced. As you know, every donor will be recognized at the house in some way, but only those giving or pledging $2,500 or more will be recognized on the permanent campaign plaque mounted on the front wall of the main entrance to the ATW house. So, for your gift to be tallied as a part of this campaign, please remember the following: if you haven't given or pledged, please do before October 24; if you would like to increase your pledge, please consider adding a year, or giving enough to increase to $2,500 before October 24. Don't forget that buying a pavestone counts as a donation from you, and this campaign will continue until we run out of pavers. Contact me at the e-mail below to do so. Thanks once again to everyone! See you on October 24.
