This joint research* communicates the outcomes of a large-scale analysis conducted between January and August of 2014. 3x 2.5x 2x more likely to be retained from freshman to sophomore year more likely to graduate more likely to graduate in four years Statistics found after accounting for pre-college characteristics, such as high school GPA and ACT score, as well as institutional differences. *Research comes from the study Sorority Membership and Education Outcomes: Results from a National Study, done by J. Alumnae News Joan Shell retired from 24 years of teaching in 2008, when she got her own "class" of triplet grandchildren. She now has seven grandchildren; triplets, twins, and two singles. Joan resides in Bexley, Ohio, but travels to California, where all three of her daughters have settled. She still keeps in touch with Barbara Engel Brenner, a dear AEPhi friend. Dollie Jonas '48 volunteers as a guide at a performing arts center in Miami, Dade County, and is an usher and guide for the New World Center in Miami Beach. She is the treasurer of Study of Stocks, which is a stock club for 27 ladies with portfolios of over $138,000. "Not bad for a bunch of girls," she said. Dollie and her husband, Stanley, have three children. They live in North Bay Village, Fla.
