Alumnae News
Joan Shell retired from 24 years of teaching
in 2008, when she got her own "class" of
triplet grandchildren. She now has seven
grandchildren; triplets, twins, and two singles.
Joan resides in Bexley, Ohio, but travels to
California, where all three of her daughters have
settled. She still keeps in touch with Barbara
Engel Brenner, a dear AEPhi friend.
Dollie Jonas '48 volunteers as a guide at a
performing arts center in Miami, Dade County,
and is an usher and guide for the New World
Center in Miami Beach. She is the treasurer of
Study of Stocks, which is a stock club for 27
ladies with portfolios of over $138,000. "Not
bad for a bunch of girls," she said. Dollie and
her husband, Stanley, have three children. They
live in North Bay Village, Fla.
