We have held the number six ranking for the last three semesters among the 25 fraternities at KSU. The Chapter's grade point average for the spring semester was 3.27. This is up from 3.19 in the fall semester. In addition, we had seven brothers receive a 4.0 GPA and 22 brothers with a 3.5 GPA or better during the spring semester. This is significant because many men in the Chapter are majoring in engineering, business, and finance, which are rigorous majors and require excellent study habits. The Chapter will host its annual scholarship dinner the second week of the fall semester to identify, recognize, and celebrate the high academic achievement of the 29 men who were top students in the Chapter last spring. We are eager to continue on this path of academic excellence for many years to come. A: Who can forget beating Nebraska (football) in Manhattan for the first time since 1959? I am proud to have been in the mob that tore down the goal post, carried it through campus to Aggieville, and threw it on top of Rusty's Last Chance. I remember the huge kickoff party, since I was social chairman at the time, each year with the other fraternities on the block. I also enjoyed the dorm Olympics, working hard during the week, and taking time to have the full experience as a college student on the weekend. Great friends and great times. Q: What do you see as the benefits of attending CareerEp events? A: I've been attending CareerEp for the last five years and it is always a great experience for SigEp alumni and students. SigEp students can build a strong network with SigEp alumni to find a job, learn more about a particular field, and prepare themselves for interviews. SigEp students have a large number of alumni brothers just waiting to help them make it to the next level. Q: Can you tell me about your life since graduating? A: After graduating in 1998, I married my wife, Keri Moser, KSU alumna, and began working at Burns & McDonnell as an electrical engineer designing electrical systems for aviation and government and military facilities for the last 17 years. I design power, lighting, communications, security, fire alarms, and special systems for various types of facilities. These include terminals, hangars, and air traffic control towers for airports, readiness centers for the Army National Guard, hangar and simulator facilities for the Air Force, and many others. I now have a daughter, Mary (10), and son, Jack (7). Q: What advice would you give to undergraduates or alumni early in their careers? A: Balance—always make time for work, play, and sleep. Make good long-term decisions. Know yourself. Q: How do you keep in touch with the Chapter and brothers? A: My best and oldest friends are SigEps. We still take trips back to Manhattan, as well as go hunting and fishing together. I've met many more SigEps through work and CareerEp. (Continued from page 1)
