Our Tradition, Our Key, Our Future 3 I t's safe to say that Delta Psi continues to be successful at Texas Tech University. As the current president, I'm excited about what is happening in our chapter and what lies ahead. We have improved our GPA, raised more than $30,000 for Children's Miracle Network, and participated in many university activities. Our overall chapter GPA of 3.4 bumped us up from ranking sixth to third in the Texas Tech Panhellenic community. Out of the 52 Greek organizations on Tech's campus, Kappa ranks number five academically. Additionally, we had 34 members with a 4.0! We could not be more proud of the hard work and dedication our members put forth in this past semester. In the fall, we held our annual Kappa Klassic Golf Tournament. Delta Psi raised over $30,000 benefiting Children's Miracle Network. This spring, we hosted our newest philanthropy event, Kappa Krawfish. We are proud of the amazing support and attendance at this year's Kappa Krawfish, where we raised money for the Children's Miracle Network and enjoyed great food and music. Lubbock's unpredictable weather tried to ruin our Mom's Weekend this spring, but we were still able to have a successful mother-daughter brunch! Roughly 100 mothers braved the icy streets, enjoyed pancakes, and adored a performance from the Kappa Pickers. Sharing moments with our Kappa sisters and our families means a great deal to us. We are extremely thankful for the support and love of our parents. In the fall, Delta Psi initiated its largest pledge class, which consists of 80 members. "Last year's recruitment was a success in every aspect. Not only did we welcome a great group of women, but also our chapter morale was stronger than ever," shared Membership Chairman Paige Euwer '12. This fall, the Texas Tech Panhellenic community will welcome Alpha Xi Delta sorority. We are thrilled about this exciting time of growth and will be pleased to welcome them on campus! Through our many activities and events, Delta Psi continues to build on the greatness of those who came before us. Everything is in place for us to have a marvelously successful fall semester. We are extremely thankful for all of the alumnae support and dedication to our chapter. We welcome you to visit the lodge and hope to see you soon!
