W e cannot be more proud of the ways in which Delta Psi has grown over the years. Being a part of a flourishing chapter has endless rewards; however, many of the benefits of a growing sisterhood can be overshadowed by challenges when a chapter house is too small for its membership. For this reason, the Delta Psi House Corporation has spent months researching ways to better accommodate the growing number of Delta Psi members. Alumnae and chapter members have explored facility options through focus group research. Other groups on Greek Circle are already rebuilding, remodeling, or renovating in order to remain competitive in Texas Tech's Greek community. We feel strongly that Kappa needs to remain a leader among the Greek community at Texas Tech, competitive in recruitment, and able to support a thriving sisterhood. In an effort to ensure all alumnae are aware and involved with Delta Psi's future plans, we have launched a new alumnae relations program. With a solid alumnae relations program in place, our members can connect to the sorority and their sisters. There are several elements that are key to the program's success. We will mail two newsletters each year containing alumnae news, information on upcoming events, reports on various chapter activities, and current lists of undergraduate new members and officers. Once a year, we will send out a biographical update that allows alumnae to update the information we have on record. These updates also provide the information for one of the most popular features in the newsletters, the "Alumnae News" section. Altogether, the updates are a vital tool in maintaining our records and our ties with one another. The Lubbock Alumnae Association has been busy supporting the national philanthropy, Reading is Fundamental, installing new officers, and welcoming graduating Delta Psi sisters as alumnae. The Lubbock alumnae are proud of the hard work of our undergraduate sisters, as they were honored as Texas Tech's Most Outstanding Greek Organization. We hope that through the Delta Psi's annual alumnae relations program, your Kappa Kappa Gamma bonds are regularly renewed and strengthened. We are always interested in hearing from you! If you would like to get involved, or if you have any suggestions, alumnae news, photos, ideas for articles, or plans for a reunion, please contact me. Alumnae involvement is key to ensure the Delta Psi legacy lives on and continues to flourish.
